The Silicon Valley chapter of IABC is your premier source for professional development and networking opportunities. Our chapter holds events each month that are open to the public.

Professional development events usually take place either during the lunchtime and networking events take place after work hours. Our events are conveniently located in the South Bay or Peninsula and are often hosted at local restaurants or on corporate campuses.

While the events are locally produced, our speakers are world-class and IABC members enjoy a generous discount of up to 40% off the standard price.

We also offer sponsorship opportunities to those companies interested in increased visibility. Sponsorship benefits include recognition, co-promotion and distribution of materials.

If you are interested in speaking or hosting an event, please contact John Robertson at jrobertson@roico.com.

“Leveraging Social Media in Global Launch Plans”
NorCal BMA International and Marketing Strategy Roundtables

Last year, Dell drove $7mil in Sales through Twitter alone. We are all keenly aware of the social media explosion, but how can business-to-business marketers leverage these platforms and tools effectively, particularly in a global launch plan? What types of Social Media tools help drive internal readiness when casting worldwide nets?

Experts LaSandra Brill, Sr. Manager of Social Media at Cisco Systems, and Karina Jensen, Founder of Global Minds Network, will walk us through current trends and case studies to apprise attendees of:

  • Current Business-to-Business trends leveraging Social Media, especially on an International basis. Why is it imperative to use SM for Brazil launches, for example?
  • Case studies leveraging Social Media in international launches, externally and internally
  • Expert commentary on emerging Best Practices, such as Li’s Sandbox Covenants which are relevant to a global launch marketing mix? What about tools like Yammer and their potential support for internal readiness in executing a global roll-out effectively?

We invite you to learn from the pros and engage in a lively conversation about increased international launch effectiveness, leveraging Social Media tools and platforms strategically and effectively. Please join us!
