President’s Message

Be Heard: IABC launches new brand identity

Susan Karnstedt

Susan Karnstedt
President, SV-IABC

Almost 18 months ago, IABC members from around the world began working together to describe the value the association brings to our members, our profession and the broader business community.

Since that time, more than 3,000 IABC members have participated in a variety of input opportunities ranging from online membership surveys, discussion groups and focus groups. The result of this effort is a sound bite capturing the essence of the IABC story.

At the Leadership Institute in January, leaders from around the world were among the first to experience the association’s new brand identity. Much more than a logo or just a tagline, Be Heard™, reflects not only what we do, but also the impact we as communicators make in the business world.

You will be hearing a lot more about Be Heard™ throughout the course of this year. It’s a simple way for us to express the key value we deliver: to inspire, develop and empower communicators. That’s a critical component of the work we do and the experiences we share…and a key reason that IABC is the association of choice for global communicators.
